About Michaela Šmotková

Michaela Šmotková has been with JŠK since 2012 and is a managing associate. She specialises at JŠK primarily in the regulation and distribution of financial services, (re)insurance law, consumer protection and personal data protection. She also has extensive experience in anti-money laundering (AML), e-commerce, and compliance matters. Before joining JŠK, she gained valuable experience at one of the largest Czech law firms. She graduated from the Faculty of Law in 2013, during which time she spent a year at Jönköping University in Sweden focusing on commercial and corporate law, and three years studying Czech language and literature at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University. She has been practising law since 2017.
