About Kensaku Yamamoto

Kensaku Yamamoto is the managing partner of SHUSAKU·YAMAMOTO, and has led its international expansion in Asia since joining the firm in 2011. Under his leadership, SHUSAKU·YAMAMOTO has been recognised by Chambers and Partners as well as other major ranking organisations. Kensaku studied pharmaceutical sciences at Kyoto University before doing his master’s in law at the University of Southern California, and his practice areas include pharmaceutical law, IP prosecution and enforcement, regulatory issues and commercial law, including M&A. He is registered to practise before the Supreme Court of Japan. He has also published extensively in leading IP law journals and has participated in numerous international law conferences.
