About Ian Lim

Ian Lim heads TSMP’s employment and labour team and is a partner in its dispute resolution practice. He specialises in all aspects of Singapore and regional employment law, particularly on both contentious and non-contentious issues of restraint of trade, confidentiality and data privacy, dismissal, harassment, retirement and re-employment, statutory employee transfers and industrial relations. Ian has been an appointed tribunal magistrate of the small claims tribunals in the state courts and is a fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators. He is also active in pro bono and charitable work, with a focus on migrant worker welfare. Ian has also co-authored, with Nicholas Ngo and Elizabeth Tan, several chapters on Singapore employment matters for online international law publications.
