About Pablo Márquez

Pablo Márquez holds a JD and Bachelor of Philosophy as well as an MSc in Economics from Universidad Javeriana. He also has a Master's in Law from Harvard University and a PhD from the University of Oxford. Currently, Pablo is a partner at ECIJA Colombia, specialising in competition, technology, media, telecommunications and regulatory law. An expert in competition law, economic and administrative regulation (public utilities), Pablo has served as a legal adviser to private sector companies regarding economic matters. Additionally, he has been an adviser to the Minister of the Interior and Justice and the Superintendent of Industry and Commerce. Following these roles, Pablo worked as the Superintendent for the Protection of Competition, the Director, and Commissioner of the Colombian Communications Regulatory Commission. Throughout his career, he has lectured at prestigious universities such as Columbia, Harvard and Oxford, as well as international organisations such as the OECD.
