About Efigénia Marabuto Tavares

Efigénia Marabuto Tavares is a managing associate at PRA, co-ordinating the competition and EU team. She joined the firm in 2014 as a trainee lawyer, and by 2021 she was a senior associate. Efigénia has significant experience in merger review processes, cartel investigations, and related litigation. In addition, she has been heavily involved in the design, preparation, implementation, and follow-up of the civil liability lawsuit (private enforcement) in Portugal regarding the trucks cartel matter. Efigénia also has experience in horizontal and vertical agreements, abuse of dominant positions, and state aid, representing national and international clients, including by implementing compliance programmes and providing ongoing support.
