Bettina Knoetzl is a leading dispute resolution expert, with more than 20 years’ experience in complex Austrian and international cases. She has been a partner in internationally active law firms since 1999 and has tried and settled hundreds of significant and mission critical disputes for her clients, often in the glare of media attention. Bettina is consistently ranked among the top dispute resolution lawyers both by Austrian and international sources. Bettina specialises in international dispute resolution, focusing on business crime, investor protection, liability claims, corporate disputes, banking, insurance, investment funds, financial derivatives cases, and life science cases. She has successfully defended against class action lawsuits, including Austria’s largest civil cases to date, and represents corporate and investor clients in significant and well-known shareholder disputes. She is also called upon to provide critical legal counsel to major government institutions. She has a track record of winning for both companies and private clients. In numerous cases, Bettina has also advised clients seeking a dual course of action in both court and arbitration proceedings. Bettina Knoetzl is a longstanding member of the IBA and was appointed as Co-Chair of the International Bar Association’s Litigation Committee in 2016 and has authored countless publications on dispute resolution.
