About Joanne Strain

Joanne Strain is an English law qualified solicitor with 18 years’ experience, including over ten years in the Middle East, with a particular focus on international commercial arbitration and common law litigation. She is an expert in executing complex dispute resolution strategies, before courts and tribunals, to achieve optimum results for her clients. She specialises in disputes with Middle Eastern interests. Joanne acts for clients in disputes arising under all of the major arbitral institutional rules and before English common law courts, including the Courts of England and Wales, the DIFC Courts, the ADGM Courts and the Dubai World Tribunal. She works closely with regional experts to co-ordinate dispute resolution strategies concerning the onshore UAE Courts and in the wider GCC. Joanne regularly sits as both a sole and co-arbitrator.
