Zahid Safi is the vice-president of RIAABG's Kabul Office. As a corporate law practitioner, he is involved in general corporate advisory services, investment, project finance, banking and finance, and energy. He has represented multi-national corporations, financial institutions, non-profit organisations and government entities. Mr Safi has been advising and dealing with the firm’s multi-national clientele in respect of their corporate matters including registrations/incorporations, government approvals, licensing, good governance, and compliance with regulatory requirements and has undertaken extensive reviews of the private investment law, company law, commercial code, telecommunication law, income tax law, labour law, civil law, trade-mark law, contract law, tax law, public procurement law, property law, intellectual property law, banking law, public-private partnership (PPP), public health law and energy laws of Afghanistan. Mr Safi has worked extensively over the years with high–profile clients in respect of Afghanistan corporate, compliance, labour and employment matters. In addition, Mr Safi has facilitated numerous US/NATO contractors in their registration with the Afghanistan Central Business Registry, the corporate regulator in Afghanistan, and handles their regulatory work, including tax and labour matters. Mr Safi is a member of Afghanistan Independent Bar Association and is also an arbitrator for ICC Afghanistan at the Afghanistan Centre for Dispute Resolution.
