About Susan Villanueva

Susan Villanueva is a senior partner at Cruz Marcelo & Tenefrancia and leads its IP department. She is renowned for landmark IP cases, including securing the first Supreme Court declaration of an internationally well-known trade mark. She is a member of the American and New York Bar Associations, a professorial lecturer at the University of the Philippines College of Law and a former co-chairperson of the Intellectual Property Office’s Advisory Council for IP. Villanueva holds a Master of Laws from Yale and graduated cum laude and salutatorian from the UP College of Law.
