About Eleanor B. Alter

Eleanor B. Alter is a co-founder of Alter Wolff Foley & Stutman LLP and a nationally recognised attorney with more than six decades of experience. Widely regarded as a matrimonial and family law leader, she has represented high-profile individuals, business owners, attorneys, and professionals, and has served as an expert witness and appellate advocate. A graduate of the University of Michigan and Columbia Law School with a year at Harvard Law School, Eleanor is a frequent lecturer, former law professor, and prolific legal writer. She is a member of several prestigious legal organisations and has held numerous leadership roles within New York’s legal community.
