About Véronique Chauveau

Véronique Chauveau specialises in family law, personal law, inheritance law and criminal law. For 39 years she has represented numerous parents whose children have been victims of international parental abduction, and has acted as expert witness in courts in New York, Dublin, London, Istanbul, etc. A former member of Avocats sans Frontières (Lawyers without Borders), she defended both perpetrators and victims before the Rwandan courts after the genocide. Véronique was an EU expert on a mission to Moscow in support of implementation of the 1980 and 1996 Hague Conventions. An author, lecturer and trainer, she speaks fluent German and English, and was admitted to the Paris Bar in 1984.
