About Victor Ruiz

Victor Ruiz focuses on the resolution of commercial and corporate disputes. He has acted as counsel and as arbitrator in a number of domestic and international arbitrations, involving disputes derived from contracts for the international sale of goods, share-purchase agreements, energy and infrastructure projects, M&A transactions, shareholders’ agreements, joint venture contracts, distributorship and franchise agreements. He has been a vice-president of ICC México’s Commission on Arbitration and ADR since 2017 and the General Director of the Mexican Institute of Arbitration since 2019. Victor was previously chair of the Commercial Law Commission of the Mexican Bar Association (Barra Mexicana, Colegio de Abogados, A.C.) from 2015 to 2018. He is a member of the Arbitration and Mediation Commission of CANACO and of the ICC Latin American Arbitration Group.
