About Binta Maïga

Binta Maïga has over 13 years of experience advising businesses on multi-jurisdictional transactions, including mergers, acquisitions and project development in OHADA and beyond. She specialises in M&A, banking and finance in the mining, energy and telecommunications sectors. She recently advised, among others, BaoSteel on the USD15 billion Simandou iron ore project in Guinea, Oryx Energies on its acquisition of Puma Energy in Senegal, and Vista Group in connection with various transactions related to its expansion in the sub-region. Before joining Thiam & Associés, she worked with top Senegalese firms and Ecobank Guinea.
