About Clarice Wambua

Clarice Wambua is a leading lawyer specialised in the climate change, energy, and environmental law sectors. An experienced lawyer, legislative drafter and policy adviser, she focuses on areas such as climate change, carbon markets, renewable energy, biodiversity conservation, and pollution control. Clarice is a consultant at CDH, leading the firm’s vibrant environmental law and pro bono and human rights Kenyan practice areas. She has carried out assignments for a broad range of clients including the government of Kenya, the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Climate Change, the Energy Petroleum and Regulatory Authority, UNDP and GIZ, amongst others. She also provides legal advice to diverse project developers on regulatory compliance in the energy, environment and natural resources space. She is an LLB graduate from the University of Nairobi, and holds a Master of Laws (LLM, with distinction) in Climate Change Law and Policy from the University of Strathclyde, as well as a Master of Science (MSc, with distinction) in Africa and International Development from the University of Edinburgh.
