Greg Ambler
is a senior associate at Tompkins Wake specialising in succession and private client law. He advises individuals and family groups on complex estate planning, trust establishment and administration, relationship property matters, and both domestic and international estates, with a particular focus on mental capacity and adult decision-making issues. Greg also assists clients with succession-related disputes and provides practical advice on structuring wealth and governance arrangements for families and charitable entities. He joined the firm in 2024, having previously practised at a leading trust law firm in Auckland and at a prominent private client practice in the United Kingdom. Greg is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and is affiliated with the New Zealand Law Society’s Family Law Section and the Legal Research Foundation.
