About Kate Cornegé

Kate Cornegé is a civil and commercial dispute resolution specialist with 20 years’ experience across corporate, commercial, property, public law and competition litigation. Having started her career at Chapman Tripp, Kate has worked at Tompkins Wake for the past 15 years and she now heads Tompkins Wake’s dispute resolution and litigation team. Kate has acted in significant proceedings at all levels of the New Zealand courts as well as in arbitrations. She regularly advises corporate clients, local government entities, and agri-business companies. Kate’s expertise spans public law, insurance litigation, and cross-border matters and she has acted for the plaintiffs in a major New Zealand class action.
