Richard McLaren
is a Canadian lawyer and arbitrator, and a leading authority on sports law and integrity. A Professor Emeritus at Western University’s Faculty of Law, he has served for decades as an international arbitrator with the CAS. Richard is globally recognised for his work investigating corruption and doping in sport, notably as the author of the McLaren Report, which exposed systemic, state-sponsored doping in Russian athletics. His work has shaped international anti-doping policy, governance standards and the regulation of sport. Richard is the integrity officer for FIBA and is Chair of the ITIA anti-corruption hearing officers for professional tennis.
