About Alexander Godinez Vargas

Alexander Godinez Vargas is the head partner of the firm. He received his doctorate in law from the Complutense University of Madrid. He is professor of labour law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Costa Rica and is an academic at the Ibero-American Academy of Labour and Social Security. He was a judge in the Court of Appeals of San José and a substitute magistrate of the Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice. He was also an official of the International Labour Organisation at its sub regional office of San José. He is a former president of the Costa Rican Association of Labour Law and Social Security and won the Alberto Brenes Córdoba award from the Costa Rican Bar Association for the best legal work of 1998. He has contributed to more than 60 publications in books and specialist magazines.
