About Andrew Mackenzie

Andrew Mackenzie has been chief executive of the Scottish Arbitration Centre since its establishment in 2011. He previously worked as a legal adviser and was secretary to Lord Cullen’s Review of Fatal Accident Inquiry Legislation before becoming Head of Courts and Legal Services Reform in the Scottish government. Andrew is a member of the advisory board of the International Bar Association (IBA) Section on Public and Professional Interest Council, co-chair of the IBA Forum for Government and Public Lawyers and Europe for the Campaign for Greener Arbitration, an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and past co-chair of the IBA Access to Justice and Legal Aid Committee.
