About Marie-Hélène Raffin

Marie-Hélène Raffin is the founder of Florilèges. She is a well-renowned tax expert with deep knowledge and experience. She is recognised as a leading tax specialist in France, with a reputation for innovative, smart and effective resolution of significant tax matters. She has over 30 years’ experience of providing tax advice on corporate transactions, as a former tax partner at Arthur Andersen International and then at Willkie Farr & Gallagher. Marie-Hélène graduated in tax and commercial law (full law curriculum at Paris II University with an LLM/DEA degree), in economics (French Business School ESSEC 1984) and accounting (DESCF), and is a member of the Paris Bar Association. She teaches tax law on the Paris I University master's programme and is the author of a variety of articles regarding French tax law. Marie-Hélène is a member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA), the French association of tax lawyers IACF (Institut des Avocats Conseils Fiscaux), the association of women specialised in French taxation A3F (Association Française des Femmes Fiscalistes), the Institute of Financial and Criminal Tax Law IDPF2 (Institut du Droit Pénal Fiscal et Financier) and the French Association of Corporations ANSA (Association Nationale des Sociétés par Actions). She regularly advises multinationals on corporate taxation matters relevant to their French investments. She works closely with international and domestic clients on restructuring projects involving cross-border transactions. Marie-Hélène also specialises in French tax consolidation and has developed extensive experience in tax planning, acquisition, sales and generally restructurings of businesses, advising on the major tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures, and of business transactions in a wide range of areas.
