About Daniel Leiva

Daniel Leiva is a senior lawyer with over eight years of legal experience, previously serving as in-house counsel for El Salvador’s largest commercial bank. He played a critical role in modernising the bank’s processes and financial products, focusing on digital transformation and regulatory compliance with financial authorities. Daniel’s expertise includes advising on deposit contracts, service model design and new financial products. He also provides strategic legal advice to start-ups and fintech companies on complex financial transactions. Daniel is a member of the Salvadoran Association of Fintech (ASAFINTECH) and holds a Master in Digital Law from Universidad de Salamanca and a Bachelor of Laws from Universidad Dr José Matías Delgado.
