About Cristina Weidner

Cristina Weidner is a restructuring partner in the Munich office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP. She advises on financial and corporate restructurings, acting for sponsors, creditors and investors in turnaround situations. She notably advises German companies on their financial restructurings by use of international restructuring tools, often in complex constellations with multi-layered financing structures. Cristina also advises (secured) creditors on the financial restructuring of their borrowers, and regularly acts for creditors in the context of distressed M&A transactions and German insolvency proceedings. She is a member of the Turnaround Management Association and of the Executive Committee of the Insolvency and Restructuring Working Group of the German Bar Association.
