Amund Brede Svendsen
is a partner who litigates and advises on patents (especially pharmaceutical, biosimilar and oil and gas services industry patents), trade marks validity and infringement issues and issues relating to employee inventors’ rights, trade secrets, unfair competition and marketing law. He drafts technology transfer, R&D and consortium agreements (all sectors), and represents clients in disputes relating to these areas and other IP-related commercial litigation. Amund is admitted to the Supreme Court of Norway. He is also a qualified arbitrator and has experience as an arbitrator in international commercial arbitration cases. Amund was president of the Norwegian group of AIPPI from 2004 to 2020. He is a member of the Norwegian Board of Appeal for Industrial Property Rights (KFIR), which hears and decides appeals against decisions of the Norwegian Industrial Property Office.
