About Marcelo Vieira von Adamek

Marcelo Vieira von Adamek is Professor of Business Law at the University of São Paulo Law School. He has 25 years’ experience as a lawyer and arbitrator, widely recognised as a leading Brazilian authority on business law. His academic work covers, among other topics, directors’ liability, minority abuse, and asset-tie rules in joint stock companies. Previously serving as president of the São Paulo Lawyers Association (AASP), he is president and founder of the Institute of Applied Corporate Law (IDSA), an associate and former director of the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Recovery (IBR) and holds roles in corporate law committees of the Brazilian Bar Association.
