About Maria Lucia Acosta

Maria Lucia Acosta spent more than five years at the top-ranked Uruguayan firm Ferrere (Band 1 with Chambers), and one year at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in London (2018-2019) after her LLM at Queen Mary University (QMUL Latin American Scholar). She has focused her practice on civil, commercial, and corporate law. Maria Lucia seconds Castellan’s corporate head partner and leads the firm’s compliance and regulation practice. She has already been recognised as “associate to watch in dispute resolution” by Chambers. She has broad experience advising Uruguayan and foreign companies, start-ups, and capital investment funds in decision-making processes related to business and investment, understanding and anticipating specific needs.
