About Valentin Ibarra

Valentin Ibarra mainly focuses his professional practice on fintech and tax matters in a wide range of sectors and transactions, representing domestic and international clients. He leads Chevez Ruiz Zamarripa’s fintech law practice and teaches Fintech Law at the Universidad Panamericana and Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. He has participated in the lobbying process of tax regulation of the crowdfunding sector before the Ministry of Finance. Furthermore, he has been involved in the design and implementation of several fintech projects, from a regulatory and tax perspective, giving advice and support during the authorisation process before the financial authorities. Valentin also litigates complex tax and administrative matters, including financial cases, before federal and state courts. He has been invited by several Bar associations, tech and fintech associations, and academic entities to give seminars on digital, financial technology and media law.
