About Violeta Geru

Violeta Geru is GNP’s head of dispute resolution and arbitration, with extensive experience representing clients in complex disputes against public authorities, particularly in competition, energy and insurance regulation, public procurement, tax and digital services matters. Leading legal directories have recognised her as a leading practitioner in commercial litigation. Her practice focuses on antitrust and competition litigation, where she has represented clients in some of Romania’s most high-profile investigations and successfully secured the full annulment of competition fines before the courts. She also advises and represents clients in energy (including market manipulation), public procurement, tax and complex commercial disputes. In addition, she led the drafting of Romania’s national assessment report on the implementation of the EU Platform Workers Directive.
