About Javier Franco

Javier Franco is a partner at Franco & Abogados Asociados. He is a specialist in Maritime Law at Universidad Externado de Colombia. He has an LLM with distinction in International Commercial Law and Maritime Law from Swansea University, Wales, UK. Among others, he is former President of the Colombian Maritime Law Association (ACOLDEMAR), Titulary Member of the Comité Maritime International (CMI), and a member of the Customs and Trade Facilitation Commission of the Colombian Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Colombia). He is author of the book Legal Aspects of Commercial Logistics and Logistics Service Contracts. He is also Director of the Trade Facilitation and Sustainability Working Group at the Center for Ocean Policy and Economics (COPE, USA).
