About João Gil Figueira

João Gil Figueira is a partner at Gil Figueira & Devillet Lima, where he heads the tax, corporate and private client practices. For more than 18 years he has advised Portuguese and multinational businesses on the cross-border aspects of acquisitions, investment structures, offerings and shareholder disputes, and he acts as ongoing counsel to boards and management teams. He focuses on transactions that cannot be resolved inside a single discipline. He has held in-house roles and lectures on commercial law, regulation, taxation and foreign investment at several Portuguese universities.
