About Takafumi Uesaki

Takafumi Uesaki is a partner at TMI Associates. He specialises in all legal and regulatory matters relating to the healthcare sector. He has extensive experience in healthcare M&A (including M&A of medical corporations and hospital businesses), healthcare start-up finance, and new healthcare business development/alliance, etc. He worked at the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) from 2011–2013, where he represented the government in drug lawsuits and other cases, and handled all legal matters at the MHLW. He has also been an outside director of Otsuka Digital Health, Inc., and has been a part-time lecturer at Hitotsubashi University since 2020.
