About Juan Mendoza

Juan Mendoza is a partner and head of the Negotiation, Arbitration and Litigation practice at DRET, with 24 years of experience representing clients in the energy, oil and gas, mining, construction, infrastructure, agro-industry and retail sectors. His practice covers negotiation, mediation, conciliation, international and domestic arbitration, and litigation. He has a particular focus on preventive litigation strategies designed to anticipate conflict before it materialises. He is on the roster of arbitrators of the Superintendency of Companies and the Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Club Español de Arbitraje, Colombian Association of Insurance Law (ACOLDESE), Colombian Institute of Procedural Law, Latin American Construction Law Association and International Bar Association.
