About Ajay Kumar

Ajay Kumar is the managing partner of KLA Legal. He specialises in aviation leasing and finance, advising on leasing, financing, repossessions, insolvency and the structuring of various cross-border aviation matters. His clients include manufacturers, lessors, leading banks and financial institutions globally. Ajay also has vast litigation experience, and has been involved extensively in various repossessions and bankruptcy-related matters. He has worked closely with the Ministry of Civil Aviation to bring about amendments to the Aircraft Rules in line with India’s commitments under the Cape Town Convention, and is involved with the Indian government's ambitious GIFT City project.
