About Buraq Al-Hamdy

Buraq Al-Hamdy is the managing partner of Basrah Obelisk Law Firm Ltd and has been a registered lawyer with the Iraqi Bar Association since 1999. He has over 20 years of experience in litigation, corporate law, tax compliance, employment law and dispute resolution, advising Iraqi and international clients, including multinational corporations, on complex cross-border commercial matters. He holds a PhD in Private International and Commercial Law from the University of Baghdad. He regularly represents clients before Iraqi courts and administrative authorities in contractual disputes, regulatory compliance, governance issues, and tax and social security matters arising from business operations in Iraq.
