Antonio Marzagão Barbuto Neto
is a Partner in the Arbitration and Litigation practice groups. In addition to litigating cases before Brazilian courts, Tony also represents clients in complex arbitration matters before domestic and international arbitration institutions and assists Brazilian clients with New York-related disputes. His principal practice areas are litigation, arbitration, cybersecurity and data privacy, and insurance and reinsurance.
He served as a foreign associate in the New York office of Debevoise & Plimpton and is licensed to practice law in the courts of that state. Tony also represents clients in advertising cases brought before the Brazilian Advertising Self-Regulating Body (CONAR). Graduate of Universidade de São Paulo, Tony holds an LL.M. in General Studies from New York University, USA and a specialized degree in Business Management from Business School São Paulo.
He is admitted to the New York State Bar Association, and is a member of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), a member of the Mediation and Arbitration Committee of the Brazilian Bar Association - São Paulo section (OAB-SP) and a member of the International Center for Dispute Resolution.
Antonio is the co-author of the book "Brazilian Arbitration: The Booming Years", and has contributed to many other publications in the practice area of litigation.
