About Marcos Paulo Verissimo

Marcos Paulo Verissimo is a partner at Marcos Verissimo Advogados and a Tenured Professor of Law at the University of São Paulo, a former Commissioner at the Brazilian Antitrust Authority and a former member of the senior management at the Brazilian Development Bank. He has represented dozens of clients before the Brazilian Courts and Federal Administration in cases involving public, constitutional, economic, regulatory, antitrust and consumer law. He has extensive experience with leniency and cease-and-desist agreements, and acts as an arbitrator and expert witness in international litigation involving Brazilian law. He has published on competition law, judicial review of administrative action, consumer law and class actions, among other topics.
