About Sjoerd Douma

Sjoerd Douma is a lawyer (admitted to the Dutch bar) and joined Lubbers, Boer & Douma as a partner in March 2017 after having worked at a large international tax advisory firm for more than 12 years. Sjoerd is a professor of International & EU Tax Law at the University of Amsterdam and represents clients before the Dutch tax authorities, the European Commission, district courts, appellate courts, and the Supreme Court, as well as the CJEU in matters of Dutch, EU and international tax law. Sjoerd also served as deputy judge in the District Court of Haarlem and as deputy justice in the Court of Appeal in Arnhem-Leeuwarden.
