Ilias Anagnostopoulos
leads the litigation group at Anagnostopoulos and has advised and represented corporations and individuals in prominent cases through multiple jurisdictions for three decades. He focuses on financial fraud, corrupt and anti-competitive practices, tax and money-laundering offences, extradition and mutual assistance requests. Since 2013, Ilias has chaired the Hellenic Criminal Bar Association, and from 2006 to 2013 he chaired the criminal law committee of the Council of the Bars and Law Societies of Europe. He is professor emeritus of criminal law and procedure at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and has published extensively on Hellenic, European and international criminal law, business and financial crimes, criminal procedure reform and human rights.
