About Michael Iakovou

Michael Iakovou is the managing member of IX Legal and chair of the firm’s transactional department, representing sellers, purchasers and landlords in commercial real estate and business transactions throughout New York City and Long Island, including development sites, multi-family properties and commercial lending matters. His experience as a business owner and in-house counsel informs his approach to asset protection, with a focus on construction, development law and the representation of institutional lenders. He is a member of the Hellenic Lawyers Association, the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers, and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, and is co-founder of the Miami Hospitality Alliance.
