About Simon Cooper

Simon Cooper is the contributing editor of the Chambers Insurance & Reinsurance Global Practice Guide and an independent consultant and arbitrator with more than 35 years’ legal experience in the insurance sector, including as a partner at leading law firms in London. His practice has encompassed professional indemnity, property, cyber and reinsurance. Simon is experienced in in all forms of dispute resolution, working with lawyers in many jurisdiction and co-ordinating multi-jurisdictional projects. He has been involved in several landmark cases and advises on the development of new products for insurers; currently the Lloyd’s Members Ombudsman, he has also been instructed in relation to several recent modernisation projects in the London insurance market.
