About Tansu Akin

Tansu Akin is a Turkish lawyer with an international business background. After graduating from Ankara Law School in 2000, he started his legal career representing various multinational clients in the fields of FMCG, automotive, banking, manufacturing, and distribution. He has attended LLM studies in European Law and MSc in Fiscal Markets, and completed business management programmes in Istanbul and Geneva. Between 2006 and 2016, Tansu served as chief legal counsel and lobbyist for an automotive company. Upon leaving his in-house role, he returned to Akin Legal as the managing partner. Tansu’s practice encompasses strategic consultancy and litigation services, including commercial, product liability, tax, shareholder derivative suits, product safety matters, e-commerce and technology.
