About Amadou Barry

Amadou Barry is the managing and founding partner of Icarus Legal, whose practice focuses on project finance. He has extensive experience of advising international clients, including sponsors and lenders, particularly in the mining and infrastructure sectors across Guinea and Africa. Recently, Amadou advised on a landmark transaction relating to the financing of a historical iron ore project in Guinea and also assisted an international lender in a significant financing project in Benin. His expertise includes navigating complex legal issues such as security arrangements and local content, which are increasingly regulated across Africa.
