About Mijail Bonito
Mijail Bonito
studied law at Universidad de Chile and Universidad de La Habana. He holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law from American University’s Washington College of Law, and a Master’s in Government Management from Universidad Autónoma de Chile. He served as an advisor on migration policy at the Ministry of the Interior, Chile, where he led negotiations for the Global Compact for Migration and participated in bilateral meetings with authorities from Haiti, Argentina, Venezuela and Cuba. Mijail also took part in sessions before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights. Currently, he is a professor of law and public policy at Universidad Autónoma de Chile.
