About Robert Thake

Robert Thake is an experienced litigator in the field of family law, accustomed to handling complex domestic and international matrimonial and child custody disputes. His area of specialisation is international child abductions to and from Malta. He is a Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers and a member of the International Child Abduction Center. Robert also lectures family law at the University of Malta within the Civil Law Department and is currently pursuing a PhD in Private International Law at the University of Groningen. His doctoral research centres on the 1980 Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction.
