About Robert W.E. Laurie

Robert W.E. Laurie is a barrister and solicitor. He founded AD LUCEM LAW CORPORATION in 2013, advocating for improved patient access to cannabis, psychedelics, and sacred plant medicines. Robert’s legal practice focuses on commercial business, government, regulatory issues, and charter and constitutional legalities. He advised Dr Bruce Tobin and TheraPsil Alliance’s Section 56 CDSA psilocybin exemption case. Robert co-drafted the Decriminalize Nature Canada Petition, part of a national campaign to decriminalise restricted plant medicines. An acclaimed international speaker, he presents on cannabis, psychedelics, and entheogens at global conferences. He holds an MA Juris from the University of Oxford (St Edmund Hall) and a BA (Hons) in Political Science and International Relations from the University of British Columbia (UBC).
