Felipe Curia
is a mining regulatory lawyer with extensive experience advising on Chile’s mining regulatory framework and public policy affecting the extractive sector. Between 2014 and 2023, he served as head of the Legal Division and later as head of Regulatory and Legislative Affairs at Chile’s Ministry of Mining, facilitating the development, interpretation and implementation of mining regulation and legislation. He advises mining companies on regulatory strategy, compliance, corporate law and the corporate implications of regulatory and policy change. Felipe is admitted in Chile, holds undergraduate and Master’s degrees in Environmental Law from Universidad del Desarrollo, and is a lecturer in mining law at Universidad Católica de Chile and Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.
