About Mark Donald

Mark Donald was called to the Bar in Ontario, Canada in 2013 (and is formerly a member of the Bar of Nunavut, in Canada’s far north). He has built a media law practice supporting clients across North America and further afield of all sizes in all manner of motions, trials and appeals. Mark’s interest in the defence of a vibrant free press started early: he is a former summer law student for the Canadian Civil Liberties Association, where he was arrested while acting as a monitor at the Toronto G20 Conference, protecting protesters’ right to demonstrate. Mark’s interest in media law issues and his commitment to becoming a seasoned barrister led him to open his own firm in 2016. Since then, Mark has argued several notable media law cases in the Ontario courts and provided advice to clients on Canadian law.
