About Johannes Vogel

Johannes Vogel has a broad range of finance experience, focusing on cross-border asset finance and leasing structures and restructurings in the aviation industry. In addition, he specialises in international insolvency law questions involving financial institutions and airlines. Johannes completed his legal education and obtained an additional diploma in economics at the University of Bayreuth in 2004. He holds a Doctor of Law (Dr Jur) degree from the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg. He joined Freshfields in 2008 and became a partner in 2022. Johannes Vogel has been ranked by Chambers as Global Market Leader in Asset Finance and in Rail & Aviation Asset Finance in Germany for many years.
