About Thiago Junqueira

Thiago Junqueira is a founding partner of Junqueira & Gelbecke Advogados and a senior lawyer with extensive experience in insurance and reinsurance law. His practice focuses on insurance regulation, policy drafting, complex claims and insurance litigation, with particular emphasis on financial lines, life insurance and reinsurance. Thiago holds a PhD in Civil Law and a master’s degree, and is a professor of insurance law at FGV Direito Rio, Instituto Conhecimento Jurídico Sem Fronteiras and Escola de Negócios e Seguros. He speaks frequently at academic and professional forums, and is a member of the Brazilian Bar Association and academic associations dedicated to civil and insurance law.
