About David Okello Owiny

David Okello Owiny is an associate at Kirunda & Co. Advocates, practising in the firm’s artificial intelligence, technology and corporate advisory groups. He advises private-sector and public-sector clients on AI governance, regulatory compliance, technology transactions and commercial structuring for technology-driven businesses. David supports complex matters involving emerging technologies and contributes to the firm’s work and thought leadership on AI procurement and supply chain accountability. He holds an LLB (Hons) from Uganda Christian University and a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre. He is a member of the Uganda Law Society and the East African Law Society.
