About Robert Kirunda

Robert Kirunda is the managing partner of Kirunda & Co Advocates and a leading Ugandan lawyer in the technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) space, with a practice spanning complex transactions, dispute resolution and policy advisory. He advises multinational corporations, technology companies, start-ups and public institutions on regulatory compliance, commercial structuring, technology contracts, data protection and cross-border digital operations, and represents clients in technology-related disputes. Robert is the Convener of the Centre for Law and Emerging Technologies and currently leads a multidisciplinary legal and policy audit of Uganda’s science, technology and innovation framework. He is a member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
